Fuel Costs

As you are aware, oil prices have risen drastically over the past year and continue to climb to record highs. Airlines, railroads, freight companies, and other businesses that calculate fuel as a major expense have felt the impact. 

Unfortunately, several of the tour operators with whom we partner are no exception. Our partnering operators are dedicated to offering exceptional travel programs and customer service while operating efficiently.  Indirectly, fuel is becoming one of their largest expenses. Fuel for many programs is purchased sixty days prior to the date of departure, and therefore this increase is not calculated into the contracted price of the tour. 

Together with our partnering tour operators, we are making every effort to keep prices competitive and cannot afford to both absorb the increased cost of fuel and continue to provide excellent value and customer service. Every effort to cover a significant amount of the fuel surcharge has been made. However, on several tours we must very reluctantly inform you that a fuel surcharge may be added to the cost of your tour.
