U-M Login Information A U-M assigned log in name and password are required to access online member benefits, purchase products, register for events, and purchase or renew membership on our Web site. Alumni can use their U-M uniqname. See the details below if you don't yet have a uniqname, or forgot your password. Non-alums can create a U-M Friend account. A U-M friend account can be created with any active email address. A friend account will let you access log-in protected areas of our website, but it won't give you access to alumni-only resourses like inCircle. Get a Uniqname To get a uniqname and password, you must know your Social Security number, your Alumni ID number or your Michigan ID number. Your Alumni ID number is a 10-digit number beginning with at least three 0’s or three 9’s. You can find this number:
To get a U-M uniqname and password, to determine if you already have a uniqname or to change your password (not available to students, faculty or staff), fill out the secure online form at https://accounts.www.umich.edu/create/alumniassoc/. If you know your uniqname but not your password, contact the ITCS Accounts Office to have your password reset. Email itd.accounts@umich.edu or call the ITCS Accounts Office at 734.764.8000 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Eastern). Have additional questions about uniqnames and passwords?
