In an effort to serve the greatest possible number of U-M alumni, we have partnered with the University Library system to offer premier data base research access. To access these, you need a University-assigned uniqname and password, which are free to U-M alumni.

Under the new agreement, the databases are available to University of Michigan alumni who are members of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan. (Due to licensing agreements, non alumni of the University of Michigan cannot be granted access to these data bases.)

Indexes over 3,800 journals and magazines covering all fields and topics, academic and popular, beginning as early as 1971. Provides full text for articles as early as 1987 from over 2,500 of these journals and magazines.

ABI/INFORM Dateline™
Delivers over 190 journals, with more than 180 available in full text. It includes hard-to-find local and regional business publications with news about local companies, analysis, information on local markets, and more. ABI/INFORM Dateline allows users to research employment opportunities, compile data on benefits and compensation, learn about corporate strategies, and other topics from a local and regional perspective. ABI/INFORM Dateline includes major business tabloids, magazines, daily newspapers, wire services, and area business publications.

ABI/INFORM Trade & Industry
Full text access to more than 750 business periodicals and newsletters with a trade or industry focus. Contains publications on every major industry, including finance, insurance, transportation, construction, and many more. Covers 1971-present.

Alt-Press Watch
A full text database of over 60 newspapers, magazines and journals of the alternative and independent press, covering ecology and the environment, grassroots organizing, labor, indigenous peoples, public policy, genetics and more. 1994-present.

Ethnic NewsWatch
A full text database of 200 publications of the ethnic, minority and native press. Searchable in both English and Spanish, with titles in both languages. Includes more than 100,000 articles in Spanish and over 400,000 in English. 1960-present.

GenderWatch
A full text database of 140 international publications devoted to women's and gender issues, including scholarly journals, magazines, and newspapers, plus reports, pamphlets, papers and conference proceedings. 1974-present.
