The Spirit Award

The award was established in 1993 in honor of a former Alumni Association staff member, Judy Nowak, who was facing significant personal challenges that year with her health and the loss of a loved one. She continued working and maintained a positive attitude during this very difficult time and was an inspiration to all of her colleagues.

The Spirit Award is given annually to one staff member who exhibits extraordinary enthusiasm toward their job responsibilities and personal life. It’s the kind of spirit that is contagious to other staff members and creates a positive atmosphere in our work environment.
