Directions to the Alumni Center

I-94
From Detroit and Metro Airport (heading west): Take State Street Exit 177. Turn right (north). Continue on State Street approximately 2 miles to Central Campus. Take a right on North University, which is one block past the Michigan Union. Turn left at the second intersection (Fletcher and North University). The Alumni Association is at the end of the first block on your left at the corner of Fletcher and Washington.

From Jackson (heading east): Take State Street Exit 177. Turn left (north). Continue on State Street approximately 2 miles to Central Campus. Take a right on North University Street, which is one block past the Michigan Union. Turn left at the second intersection (Fletcher and North University). The Alumni Association is at the end of the first block on your left at the corner of Fletcher and Washington.

US-23
From Ohio (heading north): Take US-23 North to the Washtenaw-Ann Arbor Exit 37B and turn left (west) onto Washtenaw Avenue. At the fork in the road where Stadium and Washtenaw split (approximately 2-3 miles), stay to the right on Washtenaw. Follow Washtenaw until it turns into Huron. After big curve, take a left onto Fletcher Street. The Alumni Center will be on your right, at the corner of Fletcher and Washington.

From Northern Michigan (heading south): Take US-23 South to M-14 West. Follow M-14 West signs closely. Take Exit #3 Downtown Ann Arbor; this will become Main Street. Follow Main Street to Washington. Turn left on Washington. The Alumni Center will be on your right at the corner of Fletcher and Washington.

I-696
Take I-696 West to I-275 South to M-14 West. Follow the M-14 West signs closely. Exit at Exit #3 Downtown Ann Arbor; this will become Main Street. Follow Main Street to Washington. Turn left on Washington. The Alumni Center will be on your right at the corner of Fletcher and Washington.

I-96
Heading west: Take I-96 West to M-14 West. Follow M-14 West signs closely. Exit at Exit #3 Downtown Ann Arbor; this will become Main Street. Follow Main Street to Washington. Turn left on Washington. The Alumni Center will be on your right at the corner of Fletcher and Washington.

Heading east (from Lansing, Brighton area): Take I-96 East to US-23 South. Follow US-23 South to M-14 West. Follow M-14 West signs closely. Exit at Exit #3 Downtown Ann Arbor; this will become Main Street. Follow Main Street to Washington. Turn left on Washington. The Alumni Center will be on your right at the corner of Fletcher and Washington.

Parking at the Alumni Center

Parking is very limited around the Alumni Center and on campus during the week. There are metered spots on the streets surrounding the Alumni Center. There are also 190 cashier-attended parking spaces in the Palmer Drive structure, located across the street from the Alumni Center. The visitor section of the Palmer Drive structure can only be accessed from Washtenaw Avenue, north of Geddes. Parking rates are $1 per hour.

Hourly visitor parking is also available at the Forest Street structure (Forest Street between South University Avenue and Hill Street on the east side of Central Campus) and the Maynard Street structure (Maynard Street between William and Liberty on the west side of Central Campus). Both are within a 10-15 minute walk of the Alumni Center.

On weekends, visitor parking is usually available for a nominal charge at the Fletcher Street parking structure located directly across the street from the Alumni Center. Additional parking is available at the Maynard Street and Thayer Street structures, as well as at parking meters.

Please be sure to allow sufficient time for parking when planning your schedule.
