Do you wear your Maize and Blue proudly when you travel? Want to see your face in the pages of Michigan Alumnus? Making Tracks is a special section in Michigan Alumnus dedicated to celebrating the travels of alumni sporting their Michigan gear across the globe. To submit a photograph for publication, please follow these guidelines:
For digital photographs:
- Digital photographs should be at least 300 dpi and saved in the .jpg format
- Name the file after the individual submitting the photograph (e.g. smithhawaiiwolverines.jpg)
- E-mail file to: makingtracks@umich.edu. In your e-mail, please include the names and class years (if applicable) of all individuals as well as a brief description of the location/trip
For hard copy photographs:
- Print your name clearly on the backside of the photograph
- In your submission, please include the names and class years (if applicable) of all individuals as well as a brief description of the location/trip
- Mail package to: “Making Tracks,” Michigan Alumnus, 200 Fletcher St., Ann Arbor, MI 48109-1007
- Please note: Due to the volume of submissions to Making Tracks, hard copy photographs will not be returned. Photographs printed on home printers often do not re-print well in Michigan Alumnus. We recommend submitting digital photographs via e-mail (see digital submission guidelines)
Photographs for Making Tracks are printed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to the high volume of photographs received, photographs may not be printed in the issue immediately following their receipt. While it is our goal to feature all of the photographs received, we cannot guarantee your photographs will appear. Photographs that are too dark, of low resolution or will not appear well in print may not be included in Making Tracks.
