Michigania Fall Programs

Fall Colors 2010 application coming June 2010

The only place that competes with Ann Arbor in the fall is Camp Michigania and the only colors that compare with Maize and Blue are those of the fall’s changing leaves. Michigania’s Fall Colors program provides recreation, enrichment, adventure, relaxation and camaraderie with fellow Michigan alumni. It’s a delightful journey for the heart, body and mind. Nestled on the shore of beautiful Walloon Lake, Michigania offers the crunch of leaves beneath your feet, glowing sunsets and night skies that take you back to your childhood.

The 2010 program will be held from September 30–October 3 and is exclusive to Alumni Association members. The cost includes lodging in the guest cabins, all receptions and meals beginning with a welcome reception on the day of arrival and concluding with lunch on the day of departure, as well as all recreational activities. The Fall Colors Retreat is reserved for adults only.

Cabins offer three or four units, each with its own bedroom and private bath with shower. Cabin mates share a spacious gathering room, handy for a game of cards, conversation or a quiet hour of reading. Vaulted ceilings, spruce paneling and magnificent views provide a charming atmosphere.

One of the focal points of the Michigania experience is the Faculty Forum, where U-M faculty and staff provide insight into their areas of expertise through discussions and informal gatherings.

The Alumnae Council Education Center offers meeting space, comfortable lounges, complete kitchen and dining facilities and six fieldstone fireplaces. With captivating views of the surrounding wooded area, wildlife and lake, it’s an inviting space that encourages conversation or quiet reflection.
