Career Enhancement Series Event – Boston Mentoring Relationships: A tool for success
Dr. Blake- Beard received her M. A. and Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from U-M. Her thesis, “The Changing Face of Mentoring in Diverse Organizations”, launched what’s been almost ten years of research on the topic of mentoring. With over a dozen publications and more than 50 presentations on the topic, she has firmly established herself as an expert on mentoring and is quoted often on the topic by local and national media outlets. Currently a tenured professor at Simmons College teaching Organizational Behavior, Blake-Beard previously worked for Proctor and Gamble, Xerox, and taught at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education for six years.
