Welcome Messages

From University President Mary Sue Coleman

University President Mary Sue Coleman

I am excited to welcome you to the University of Michigan alumni community and was honored to meet so many of you on my visits to Beijing and Shanghai in June, 2005.

With more than 440,000 Michigan alumni living throughout the world, the Alumni Association represents one of the largest alumni bodies in the world. You are part of this prestigious group.

I encourage you to visit this Web site often and participate with your local alumni groups in China to stay connected to fellow alumni and our great University.

Sincerely,
Mary Sue Coleman
President

From Alumni Association President Steve Grafton

Association President Steve Grafton

The Alumni Association of the University of Michigan enables you to stay connected - to friends, fond memories, and to the past, present and future accomplishments of our university.

The enthusiastic response to President Coleman's June, 2005 visit and on-going interest has encouraged us to strengthen our commitment to be a truly international alumni association, and we are beginning our renewed efforts through a partnership with Michigan alumni in China.

We plan to create a link to our alumni living in China in a variety of ways: through these Web pages, a monthly e-newsletter from the Alumni Association, a local e-newsletter from your area alumni chapter and U-M events in China.

Here on our Web site you can find information about all our alumni services, as well as information about your local China group-allowing you to truly stay connected to the "Leaders and Best."

Yours for Michigan,
Steve Grafton
