Updating Your U-M Alumni Record and Accessing U-M Online Services

A U-M uniqname and password are required to fully access many online U-M programs and services, including inCircle (the online alumni directory and networking community), email forwarding, Wolverine Access, and some school and college services.

Updating Your Information Without a Uniqname and Password

If you do not want a uniqname and password, you can update your alumni record by going to https://www.dac.dev.umich.edu/freeform/controller?event=WELCOME&unitId=WELCOME.

Select the “Alternate Update Form” button and complete the first page of the form, select each of the items at the bottom of the page as appropriate and then click “Submit.”

Option #1 to Get a Uniqname and Password

A U-M alumni identification number, a U-M student identification number or a U.S. Social Security number is required to get a uniqname and password. Those who have this information are invited to visit https://www.dac.dev.umich.edu/freeform/controller?event=WELCOME&unitId=WELCOME

Select the “Get Your U-M Uniqname” button and complete the form, which will allow you to choose a password.

With this uniqname and password, you can go to https://www.dac.dev.umich.edu/freeform/controller?event=WELCOME&unitId=WELCOME

Select the “Update Your Record” button and update your alumni information.

Option #2 to Get a Uniqname and Password

If you want a uniqname and password, but do not have or cannot find your U-M identification number, U-M student identification number or a U.S. Social Security number, go to https://www.dac.dev.umich.edu/freeform/controller?event=WELCOME&unitId=WELCOME

Select the “Alternate Update Form” button and complete the required sections of the first page of the form and click the “Update Email/URL” button at the bottom of the page and then click the “Submit” button.

Important: In the comments section in the second page, write: Please provide my U-M alumni identification number. Then, click the option “Nothing, I am done” line and then “Submit.” When U-M responds to you with this number via email, you will be able to go back to option #1 above and complete the form using your U-M identification number.
